I felt fortunate to find a booking only 6 weeks out, but now I know why this site was vacant. Hemlock 114 is a riverside site at the crossing of a road, river access, and an attraction and it had zero privacy, with families and dogs walking by in a steady stream all day. All of the riverside campsites lacked privacy so I would avoid these in the future.
The restroom and shower facility was in disrepair (one of two toilets out of order) and the bugs inside were plentiful, perhaps because the bottom of the door was rotted away.
The employees were very friendly and helpful. All in all, I did not have a bad experience, just not the "retreat in nature" experience I had hoped form.

Liked the campground and the spacious site. Had a lot of rain during our stay, so that put a damper on things. But love the proximity to the waterfalls and Brevard. Lots to do in this area and very easy to get to. Staff was very friendly.

The new ownership did nothing to deal with other campers who ran generators all night. We discussed this in length with them but saw no action.

the camping at Davidson river is always fantastic.........THe Greenway trail from campground into town is a must along with hitting some of the local breweries along the trail. Square Root is the absolute best dining in Brevard, hands down.

Davidson camp grounds was an amazing first summer tent camping experience for my daughter and I. We had a warm shower and that was great. The wonderful river next to the camp ground provided cool relief from the summer heat. We brought tubes to float down. Lots of rocks. Not far from sliding rock and Looking Glass Falls. Great ice cream place at the end of the road, Dolly’s. I would recommend Davidsons camp ground to all.

Not having water hook-up created a bit more work for me in keeping our water tank full. They do provide a spigots for well water on the campground loops, so bring a large container to keep your tank full. Cell phone signal was very spotty (4k with 1 bar on Verizon). Otherwise, it is a beautiful campground with clean restrooms. Watch your step on the North Slope hiking trail. My wife was bitten by a Copperhead snake the day of our arrival. Luckily it was a dry bite and so she quickly recovered.
