The campsites were clean and in good shape. The bath house could use a lot of attention. (Cleaner).
The trails were nice.
The water level was down so a lot of place where hard to get to fish from the shore line.

There were a group of people that went over to an island across from the campground and partied all night with tremendously loud music. It was awful and not at all the peaceful experience I expected to have. With Uwharrie having a no alcohol policy, I would have expected some type of monitoring for camping in undesignated areas and also partying. It was sad because I waited a year to go there and then the experience was awful. We ended up leaving and not staying through our reservation. I don’t expect to camp there in the future

Beautiful lake views at most of the sites, very nice sunsets each night. Bathrooms/showers could be cleaner.

On our campsite the view was beautiful. We stayed on week days so it was very quiet.

Our site was beautiful right on the lake. Only problem was the bathrooms were not cleaned very well and some sights were not cleaned up very well from the last user. People left some garbage but not too bad .

My husband and I spent two nights here and had a terrific experience. The ameneties were as expected and described on the website. The trail along the lake offers shade and a nice view of the lake walking north. We stayed on the lower loop, site 16 and we had plenty of privacy. The non-potable water was directly across from our site. The restroom/shower area was a very short walk. The firepit has a grill that slides over the top of the fire for true campfire cooking. There is also a charcoal grill located on the site near the picnic table. There is easy access to the lake from the campsites. We brought our SUPs and enjoyed paddling on the lake in the early morning while only the fishing boats were out. After 9am quite a few power boats and wave runners came out but this area of the lake is still a bit quieter than the larger sections to the north. The Outpost is the only nearby store, a short drive down the windy gravel campground road. We will definitely return!

Had a great time loved the site, very quiet. The only thing I would recommend would be the showers be redone. A lot of standing water.

Turn left onto Mullinix Road (County Highway 1154), and travel approximately 1.5 mi to a stop sign and "T" intersection. Turn right, and go approximately 2 mi to another stop sign and "T" intersection. Turn right, then make a quick left and travel about 1 mi to the campground.

Badin Lake Campground is accessible via State Highway 109, which is located approximately 10 miles south of the campground in Troy, NC.

Safety & rules
- Prescribed burns may occur throughout the year, potentially causing smoky conditions.
- Respect fellow campers by keeping off-highway vehicles on designated roads and trails, and control children and pets in the campground.
Fees & deposits
- Single site rates are $20/night and $10/night with Access or Senior Access Pass; double site rates are $40/night with no discounts available.
Site types & loops
- Campsites 17 and 19 are first-come, first-served with no hookups; alcohol and fireworks are prohibited.
Vehicles & parking
- Off-highway vehicles are allowed on designated trails from April 1 to December 15, with required trail passes and trailering for unlicensed vehicles.
