What Guests Are Saying
Badin Lake Campground offers a peaceful and scenic environment, making it a great choice for those who enjoy rustic camping and proximity to hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, clean campsites, and friendly interactions with fellow campers. However, the campground's restroom facilities could use significant improvements, and some sites are closely spaced, impacting privacy. Overall, campers enjoy their experiences but recognize the need for better maintenance in certain areas.

Had an excellent time, very relaxing and can't wait to go back
I do have to mention the bathrooms /showers need a lot of work, there are tiles falling off the walls and the drainage doesn't drain well at all, a lot of standing water in the shower.
Overall the park itself was clean and very relaxing.

Campground is overall in great shape, bathrooms exist but were a little underwhelming. Sites are very close to each other, but not many were taken our first night so it was nice. The tent area was level and convenient with the parking space. The picnic table needs to be replaced, bring a tablecloth if planning to use.

We loved it! It was our first time tent camping and we have already booked another weekend for the fall. It was nice and quiet and everyone was so nice to talk too.

Badin Lake CG is a good choice if: 1) you like quiet and rustic, 2) you do not need hook ups of any kind, 3) you are OK without direct lake access. The nearest point for launching boats/kayaks is a couple miles away at Arrowhead CG. There are a few foot trails from Badin Lake CG to the lake, but the launch points are only "so so". You can access the Badin Lake Trail from either the upper or lower campground.

Our site itself was great and it was nice camping right by the lake. Campground was quiet at night outside of a few noisy boaters and fireworks on the lake the first night. Bathrooms definitely could have been better. The men’s restroom was not cleaned at all during our two-night stay and the toilet was covered in dead bugs.
Overall was still a great place to stay and was convenient being so close to the hiking trail and the day access area.

We had camping spot 6 which is a double. Plenty of room for us. Women’s bathroom didn’t have soap the first day but I think they clean the bathrooms and empty trash daily. It rained all day one of our days but trees were close enough and we were able to put a huge tarp over campsite so we weren’t stuck in the tents all day. Boat landing isn’t far.
