What Guests Are Saying
Badin Lake Campground offers a peaceful and scenic environment, making it a great choice for those who enjoy rustic camping and proximity to hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, clean campsites, and friendly interactions with fellow campers. However, the campground's restroom facilities could use significant improvements, and some sites are closely spaced, impacting privacy. Overall, campers enjoy their experiences but recognize the need for better maintenance in certain areas.

Very disappointing experience - Double booked and no support
"Our experience was very poor. We made a reservation two weeks in advance for March 14th, but when we arrived, other people were already in our assigned spot (013). We politely informed them, but they claimed they had also booked it.
The worst part is that there is no office or staff on-site. I tried calling multiple times, but nobody ever answered. We had to drive back home feeling very sad and disappointed. Extremely poor management."thanks

Badin Lake features secluded campsites but the experience is marred by truly decrepit bathrooms and showers. They are well past due for a reno.

Campsite 29 upper loop was decent size to allow for our large tent and gazebo and parking for pickup truck and boat trailer. Fire pit needs to be cleaned & replaced. Five mile lake trail loop easily accessible from site was convenient. Bathroom and showers kept clean and well lit. Gravel roads into campground will get you very dusty. Boat launch steep but very usable. Non floating boat dock at ramp was a bit of a challenge with lake about 3’ under pool. Friendly host.

The sites need some cleaning; an access to the lake would be nice.
