We stayed in Spot 5, next to the creek. It was clean and spacious. The bath house is nearby and it was also very clean. We enjoyed seeing the elk. Several walked through the campground. We had a toddler with us and she enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommend!

Wonderfully remote with great trout streams and historical buildings all over the place. The campground being well kept and the abundance of Elk made for good memories! The lack of onsite firewood for sale was a bit of a let down since chainsaws are prohibited in the park. There is plenty to scavenge firewood wise all down the road. Just be careful! The road in is full of blind curves! A truck would be useful.
Fly Fishing is your best bet in these waters. The onsite host was very helpful and even told us where the best places to fish were!

Campground host checked us in immediately. Site 12 was very spacious compared to others we saw. We pulled a 28 ft travel trailer there well after checkout time to avoid meeting other trailers leaving and left early on our checkout day for the same reason. No problems whatsoever. This was our 4th or 5th time camping there over the years.
