Bandits Roost is always our favorite place to stay around Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir. This seasons hosts/ gate keepers are wonderful folks that we always enjoy seeing. Will be back soon.

Bandits roost has been one of my favorite campgrounds over last 20 years however over last two years there is a notable difference in the grounds keeping, landscaping and restroom areas. My last visit I picked up half of a 13 gallon white trash bag of litter at my site when I arrived. Over growth of vegetation around campsite area that used to be routinely trimmed back was overwhelming. I strongly believe the contracted people that now handle all of this just don’t care about the grounds anymore. It seems like they are doing just enough to keep the contract versus hiring people that would actually care for the grounds. I hope this place gets back on track because I would hate to lose such a great area to camp at!!!!

My daughter and I enjoy this campground. We have stayed in many different sites and most are pretty private, all are kept clean and well maintained. The only issue really is that it can be hard to get in on a weekend as it is very popular, for good reason.
