The camp was quiet this week--we have been here several times and really love it. It's close enough to Wilkesboro to see what's going on there, but it's nice just to stay and walk or go to the beach.

We love this park! Our stay was quiet and oh, so peaceful. Some of the spots are a little uneven backing in, there’s a bit of a drop off which makes maneuvering kind of tricky. But once you’re in there the spaces are great! We always have a good time here.

Nice isolated campground and well maintained. Most sites level, but sometimes significant grades either up or down getting into site. If possible, check out your site before arrival.

We enjoyed the place. Quiet area. We went to Grand Father mountain from this location and was not far away.

We made this reservation not knowing anything about Fort Hamby or the surrounding area. After arriving, we soon fell in love with the campground. Standard NP/NF/COE campground, with water and electricity on site and a dump station nearby. Small, clean bathhouse that appeared, from the tile work and fixtures, to have been recently updated. Campsites are large, and well-spaced as to avoid crowding. Loop roads are one-way, and can be a bit narrow, so be cautious. The wooded, secluded campground quickly became one of our favorites. Our camp host, Tommy, was kind enough to call and let us know our site was open earlier in the day, and explained everything in detail once we arrived. Everything about this campground is excellent. Close proximity to Wilksboro for your shopping needs, and attractions such as Grandfather Mountain, Rendezvous Mountain, Dark Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as Boone and Blowing Rock. We greatly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back soon.

Gate staff were very friendly, rented a boat at Skyline Marina and would recommend them to see the lake up close. Mariana staff were great
