Campsite 065 doesn't have a flat spot for a tent; it's several mounds and a dip that would collect water. The one-man tent put up by the camper after us couldn't even sit flat. Also, a few of the tent sites are so crowded next to each other (065 and some of the ones right around it) there isn't safe room between the tents and fire rings to actually have a fire burning. It's also far from the bathroom (which can be good and bad). Overall campground pros: The campground has other spots that looked more spacious and flat. Bison walked around the campground too, which was fun to see.

I liked that half of the sites were first come. I ended up with a nice walk-in tent site along the river. Very spacious and incredible views. Other sites around the campground looked nice. There was a herd of bison and a small herd of wild horses that were in the meadow one afternoon next to the campground. The one thing lacking is showers. After spending a week between the North and South units, it would have really helped to be able to take a shower. A lot of people have RV's with such amenities, but for those that don't, this would really help after a long day of hikes in hot weather!

Campsite was nice. Facilities were great. A bad year for bees. Wish we had taken our screen tent with us.

This is a beautiful little oasis of cottonwood trees in the valley. We enjoyed the gorgeous views all around us. Unfortunately, the campground could use some upgrades, including leveling out campsites and making sure there is adequate space. Our site was backward and tight against the road, so we had to maneuver our small motor home around to face the other way and struggled to get it level and still have safe clearance next to the road. Water and electricity would of course be a welcome addition too.
