Great campground that is well maintained and quiet. I wish the rules and regulations would be spelled out better. Had an issue with the campground staff about technicalities for individual campsites. Had to resolve the issue by renting a 4th site.

It was great here. This was my point in summer vacation (teacher) that I realized I should have started this road trip sooner, because I definitely would have stayed here longer than the 3 nights that I spent there.

Downstream is a wonderful camp ground. Wether you need all the amenities of home while you venture out or just a place to pitch a tent. This place has it for you. Parks, walking paths, trout pond, swim beach, showers, water n power. Personly I go with loop 4, primitive camping. Great place to stay while catching those late night walleyes! Just keep garbage and food locked up, the racoons will absolutely rummage through your stuff. They ripped up the garbage, ate a thing the pretzels off the table, and walked off with a 2.5 gallon pale of dog food! Found it in the trees behind our camp. Slow down, enjoy the peaceful river bottoms and pack your mosquito repellent of choice! It'll be worth it.

Clean bathrooms, large sites with plenty of room between them and paved parking pads. It's a little off the beaten path, but an excellent spot to stop over if you're traveling through
