My actual score would have been a 4.5 if available. We loved most everything about this location except for the terrible flies and mosquitoes during our Mid-July visit. I understand mosquitoes from the river, but the flies are evil enough to make you stay inside your rig.

What a great park! Lots of walking areas and spots for a quick dip in the river. Bird watching is fun and deer pass through early mornings. ( a little deet comes in handy though )

Camp host has sticky fingers..
I left an item on my picnic table and when I came back it was gone. I asked one of the hosts if they had seen anything and she stated that it was probably the other host who took it. She even admitted that this had happened before! When confronted, he told me that he threw the item in the trash and if I wanted it back… guess the empty propane tank was of no use to him. Sites are clearly marked with reservation tags, no reason for him to be on my site and take my personal belongings.
COE and other campers should be very aware of these camp hosts..
