We really like Downstream campground because of the shady sites and trails. Also, nearby fishing and scenery. Campground is well kept.

We need d a few nights before heading to our next reservation. Discovered this campground and exceeded our needs. Friendly hosts. Very family oriented. Good showers and clean restrooms. Would stay again if headed this way.

Very well maintained campground. Nice sized sites. Stayed overnight as we were passing thru the area. Definitely checkout the Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site in Stanton.

A good alternative to Lake Sakakawea campground.
Sites are level, well spaced but quite open. Bathroom/showers were not nice, so did not use.

We love how the sites are more spread out so you don't have someone 10 feet away on either side. The bathrooms were pretty nice, other than an issue with a motion sensor in the ladies shower area not turning on when needed. They are very strict about no extra vehicles parked at sites, so if you have guests they may have a trek from the overflow parking to your site. Raccoons visit at night, so don't leave food or trash out!
