Very peaceful and quiet, during the week. Clean facilities, horseshoe pits need some attention, but usable. We'll go back soon.

Downstream campground is a diamond in the rough. Trees are abundant, sites are spaced generously distanced, trails are nicely groomed. In loop 2, 30 amp is on the interior of the loop while 50 amp is on the exterior of the loop. The shower buildings are clean. I noticed early Friday morning that our camp host was out on the 4 wheeler spraying the grass for weeds. My fire pit was clear of the previous guests burnt wood when I arrived. This is a laid back campground - there are a fair amount of families mixed in with couples and singles. Bring your bicycle if you enjoy flat rides - the campground is very spread out between the three loops, about a mile down the road are the primitive camping sites, The fish hatchery sometimes is open for self guided tours, and a few miles down the road is Pick City - a nice bike ride for anyone interested in a little exercise without huffing and puffing.

My actual score would have been a 4.5 if available. We loved most everything about this location except for the terrible flies and mosquitoes during our Mid-July visit. I understand mosquitoes from the river, but the flies are evil enough to make you stay inside your rig.
