We always enjoy this campground, it's clean and well taken care of. It is one of our all time favorites. However I am not sure I agree with policy of booking only 14 days out of 30. We are retired and wanted to stay longer during the week when it is barely used and we had to leave, so instead of making money during low attendance days those campsites sit empty and we spend our money somewhere else.

Downstream Campground at Garrison Dam is our GO TO spot for Memorial Day weekend every year. Always a great facility, beautiful, well laid out, always in good condition!
REPRIORITIZE YOUR CUTS AND GET THE REST OF THE FACILITIES THAT PEOPLE USE EVERY DAY IN NORTH DAKOTA (& everywhere else) OPEN FOR USE!
Quit playing games making cuts for maximum hurt!

We have camped here for the last 25 years and is our favorite. The only thing that has changed is no organized activities, we used to have horse shoe tournaments every weekend organized by the loop two hosts and there were movies every Saturday night and a bingo game or two with very inexpensive prizes like suckers or candy bars. Things like this build community in the campground every weekend and it is missed

We had a large back in space for our 43 foot 5th wheel. We set up our table top grill on the large metal table. We had room for our outside table for outdoor oven. We enjoyed the walking paths between the 3 loops of camping areas to walk our dog. The grounds were kept very clean. The park never was busy during the week just weekend. The shower room was clean and we saw the daily cleaning of bathrooms and showers. We had electric only at our site so drank bottled water, and used our RV water sp sparingly. Large dump area and trash cans available. We saw Eagles, Hawks, Deer and chipmunks during our 2 week stay. North Dakota is a beautiful place.

Quiet well maintained campground. Lots of shade trees. Trails available for those inclined to walk among nature. Mosquitoes not an issue. Book, movie exchange on site. Actual people to check you in. Clean showers and restrooms.

Really enjoyed our stay, 4 nights starting on a Wednesday. Campground was not busy and very nice. Our site was excellent with easy access and setup. Hope to visit again.

The rustic loop is nice and secluded from the rest of the campground (although the sites do not have much seclusion between them). Very nice campground, and I would definitely return!
