I came with camping friends to plant a tree in memory of a good friend. I met him camping at Downstream & he loved it there. The rangers joined us to honor his memory when we planted the tree. It was a memorable experience.

A pretty park with mature trees, nice and quiet. Decent sized parking spots for campers. Friendly staff.

Flys were ridiculous. I don't know if it's just time of year or area, but they're terrible, fly traps all over. Campgrounds were clean and tidy, so it wasn't that.

Wonderful campground & Linda at the check-in booth was patient beyond measure with me struggling with modifying my campsite! Thanks so much for your compassion during my confusion!

Very nice, clean and well maintained camping site. It was awesome to have electrical hookups and shower houses to use. Can't wait to go back!

campground was very clean and easy to access. out site was long enough for a 40' 5th wheel and truck. the power was good. No water at site, but was close enough to use 60' of hose to get water.
we visited historic site along the Knife river and Lewis and Clark interpretive center.
Also, if you are interested visit the Coteau Properties Co-Freedom Mine and Basin Electric Power Cooperative Antelope Valley Station. They are free tours and very interesting. you must call first to schedule.
