The campground hosts were very nice. Trees made for good shade. But the campsites were very unlevel. We moved to Eggarts Landing and very much liked the sites there.

I rented 3 spots. Took the longest spot that was suppose to accommodate a 38 ft camper. Ours is 35ft. The pad was not even close to level. There was at least an 8 deep trench across the whole front of the pad. When we finally got it in there, the front of the camper was about 3 inches off the ground and back jacks were fully extended. Not to mention the damage to our truck and camper. The old part of the park is NOT intended for longer campers.

Our trip here was pretty awful. First, none of the camping spots were level what so ever. We had to jack to front of our camper way up, to the highest it would go, and it still wasn't close to level. Every site we looked at around us was exactly the same way. Next, the lake was COVERED and I mean COVERED with blue-green algae. There was not a single sign saying so neither was it posted anywhere online. We looked and looked prior to booking the trip knowing we wouldn't want to go if we couldn't go in the water and found absolutely zero about the blue-green algae. We took pictures of how terrible it was and can post them. The swimming area bouys were originally yellow but mostly green with how much algae was in there. Once home I tried to contact their support too to see if we could get a refund and there is nowhere to call (except if you want to reserve a spot) so I had to do chat. Every time I tried to chat, there was a minimum of a 30 minute wait and never did get anything resolved. Also there was absolutely ZERO cell coverage. I couldn't even send a text while in the park. All in all, I would tell people to avoid this place like the plague.

Nice campground but not well maintained. PILES of trash and discarded furniture in several places. Blue Algae has taken over the lake rendering it 100% unusable. Camp Hosts made no effort to even put up a single sign warning campers, especially those with dogs, of the real danger to kids and dogs from this algae. I would not stay here again. ZERO cell coverage but it can be found about a mile or so in either direction but you have to sit on a road surrounded by corn. Closest town is 18 miles.

Park is very clean, sites have easy access, camp host very courteous, making reservations a little complicated as date there, ie: date in date out, if you want to stay two nights 6/12/21 thru 6/14/2021 you need to make check out on 6/15/2021 to get your two nights, other then that very easy to navigate

Beach needs a different parking spot. Got blocked in for most of the day.

Great place for family and kids. If you want a litle more privacy, book all three sites together 18, 19, 20 (walk in sites/car camping). kids can fish next to camp site for perch and pikes.
