We only spent a night here while traveling through so we didn't utilize many of the amenities. Although it was a little hard to figure out, we saw that there were first come sites so we drove there to get one of those. When we got there a sign said you had to secure the site online. But there was not enough cell service to do that. I tried to call the reservation number but couldn't hold a call. No ranger or host around to assist. Took about 45 minutes to finally get the reservation to go through. Nerve wracking!
Nice and quiet spot.

Wal in sites 25, 26, and 27 are not located as shown on the map. They are all located off the back of the parking lot to the Hungry Pelican. The location was great for our family. The sites were still quite secluded from the rest of the campers and day use areas.

We had the place all to ourselves most of the time. Be aware that there are some campsites that you will need to go through some tight corners and low hanging trees. We stayed in site 2 with our 35 ft fifth wheel (which we thought was the best one of the bunch) and had lake views. There is no lake access in the campground however just 1/2 mile away is a wonderful beach that is down a slope, getting down is easy but getting back up can be a struggle. There are many boat ramps on the lake and up the dirt road there is a boat ramp/ play area and fishing pier. One of our favorite places to watch the sunset was a swing on top of a point overlooking the lake about a half mile north of the campground.

Site 21 is not by itself as the map incorrectly shows. There are 4 other sites right next to it. False advertising.

Nice big camp spot. Sucks backing in. Either drop down the washed out side of road that gets zero attention, or rake the side of your camper with trees trying to avoid it-i did both.. nice once in there though, got like 30 tv channels too. Sidenote, there are creepy campers out in the field next to it and hear gunshots once in a while. Decent though, lol

Good spot, easy to get into, tv and cell reception ok. The bad: right next to pine tree and omg for sap dropping. Huge drop off on main road when leaving. Son bent his boat trailer on it and I almost tore my dump valve off years ago. So ya it's not getting fixed anytime soon. And prepare to blast through some trees on way out if you have an average to big camper.
