Unfortunately when I showed up, I had no cell service. The issue I had was not knowing where to find potable water. The spigot I found when pulling in had a sign saying not to hook a hose to fill containers. The other was not being able to pull up a map to locate our site. Had I prepared more, I may have researched it better and known where I was going. A sign pointing towards the potable water near the dump station would have been helpful. I didn’t realize that there was no check in area.

We stayed at site 45 and it was great. Don, the site host, was fantastic and communicative. The bathroom facilities were clean and well-stocked.

Camp host Don was as friendly and welcoming and HELPFUL as could be! I had big-time tow-vehicle trouble, no cell service (T-Mobile), AND my trailer battery died! He stuck with me through it all and lent me a hand at every step of the way. I am so grateful, and also really enjoyed getting to know Don! Campground itself is lovely!

Although it is a tighter campground with some smaller sits, I had good neighbors and the weather was amazing. I love all the trails! Note that many of the sites are sloped so be prepared with your leveling blocks.

Close to the lake and nicely wooded sites. Several sites were not that level and the approach road was a little challenging. The bathrooms were clean and a nice shower space. Camp host was excellent.

Arrowhead is great. This site is NOT. First it’s on a hill so steep it’s impossible to level a camper or rv. It’s also at a horrible angle. Stay away from site 35!

Prohibition rules at Arrowhead. No alcohol POSSESSION in the campground. There are signs everywhere. They treaten you with large fines (5000?) and jail time! If you are travelling from one campground to another, you have to dump out all alcohol before entering the campground. For those that are on extended trips or "full time RV", that can get expensive. I felt that campground hosts were sniffing around looking for violators. They seem to find reasons to visit your campsite.
There are also unleashed dogs. Rules not enforced there. I also saw the campground host who has a utility trailer and what sounded like a very mean dog inside the camper. Anyone needing anything might want to use the other campground host at 22? I think.
They also have a sign stating that they lock the gate at 10PM. If you have a late arrival, or are out past 10 for any reason, (were to dinner, get a flat tire ect) I guess your out of luck??!!
I asked a host about it and he said they don't lock the gate BUT they have locked it on occassion and a new ranger might start enforing the rules. Who knows...
Bathrooms are in poor condition.
