The 1st spot we reserved had no power so we had to move to another spot and lost a day because it was already rent out . The park is probably the finest of all the Corp parks

We spent my 66th birthday and really enjoyed the camping trip we had in Blue Creek. The place is beautiful with really nice semi-private campsites. The facilities are very well kept and clean. I have to say the shower there was the best I've ever had, seriously the best!
We hadn't been out camping in quite a while and this was kind of a test run for getting back to the outdoors. I retired 2 years ago and we sold our home in Denver and moved to Oklahoma. So far, we have had a wonderful experience and are happy with our choice. We want to fish and enjoy nature, and this is a perfect state for it.
We didn't have much luck fishing this time but did catch a white catfish that was about 16-18 inches and we shared it for dinner. I lost a lot of bait, and it turned out to be a softshell turtle. He finally messed up and got hooked. That turtle put up a huge fight and it took quite some time and effort to reel him in. It was a letdown because we thought it was a big fish. But it was still really fun and a test of skill catching him with such thin line.
There were a lot of Mallard Ducks hanging around begging for food and if you don't like them, they can be a pest. I love animals and have an attachment to birds. One of the ducks followed me around the almost the entire time. I named him Dr. Drake!
So all in all, we love this place and will definitely return!

Did bank fishing and catch some fair size catfish. Had to lift one side of camper 1-1/2 inch to level. Bring 30Amp extention. Ensure you fill your water tank. Great weekend camping place.

Campground was clean. Bathrooms seem to be quite new, with restrooms on one side of building, and 4 showers available on the other side of the building. Bean bag toss, volleyball net, and playground available. Only problem was detours on highways, which made us arrive after darkness.
