Potato hills central is a hidden gem in southeast Oklahoma. This is the second fall I have stayed here. It’s very beautiful and relaxed. We stayed in A19. It’s the best site of all, IMO. It’s right at the tip of the peninsula in A loop. The only downside to the site, is that it can get very windy. The fall colors tend to peak in this area in the first 2 weeks of November. I wish they would keep this campground open just a little longer, into November. We have stayed right up until closing day, October 31st, both years. I hope to continue to stay here each fall.

We enjoyed our weekday stay of 2 nights. I had pre booked 1 night but our previous place didn’t work out so we came in a day early and I was able to add on the extra night via my app after hours. The park was clean and well maintained, as were the restrooms. We had a nice walk around the park and the hiking trail.

We loved the site we had. But we love camping at Sardis Lake and try to make it down at least once a year. We love traveling around the area.

This is an older campground with water, 30 amp service, central sewer dump, varied parking surfaces and accommodating different lengths of campers . It's a beautiful location and seems to be in a good state of repair. I will choose this campground in the future.

We stayed at campsite D89 and it was really nice with a great view of the lake! Be sure and bring extra water hoses! We had to drive in to Clayton anger a water hose to reach 110 feet from our trailer. Wear a mask at the dump station, wow that place stinks lol. All in all a great place to camp and we will definitely be back!

Stopped at this park on my way to Talimena Scenic Trail and Queen Wilhelmena State Park. I loved this place! The park is well maintained, the staff was friendly and helpful. Clean restrooms with flush toilets. So peaceful with beautiful sunsets! Highly recommend!
