What Guests Are Saying
Potato Hills Central is a well-maintained campground with spacious sites, beautiful views, and a peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for camping and outdoor activities. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the friendliness of the camp host, Jordan, enhancing their overall experience. While some restrooms could use improvement and the lake poses navigation challenges, the campground's natural beauty and tranquility make it a favorite destination for many.

We stayed at Site C63. It had an incredible view of the lake, with lots of birds and fishing off a rock just feet away. What's not to like.

The park sits on Sardis Lake outside of Clayton, OK. Sites vary from very level to being difficult to level just about any RV. The sites along the lake are obviously the better sites and most will fit just about any size RV. And keep in mind, there is no cell service.
The bathrooms however are very dated and keeping them clean on a regular basis doesn’t happen. In fact, during our recent 6 day stay, they were never cleaned.
If the lake is calm, the bays would be great for kayaking and fishing.
As far as must-see, there isn’t much close by. There is a small Choctaw museum, a grocery store in town. But in the fall, make sure you take time to take the Talimena scenic drive. Also, Robbers Cave State Park has some good hiking.

My husband and I camp here March and April along with several of our friends. We love the lake and the campground is clean and well groomed. My only issue is the collapsed courtesy dock on D loop. We really enjoy using the dock and hope they will fix/replace it.

We were here during the four days of rainstorms in April. Extended our stay to five nights at site D80, which is on high ground right across the road from the restrooms. Showers were nice and warm with good pressure. Some of the lower sites flooded, but this was an unusual rain event. We were thankful to have a safe, quiet campsite until it was over. AT&T good signal with our booster.

Site 92 is awesome!!! Plenty of room and directly across from the heated restroom and showers. The maintenance and ranger personnel are very friendly and helpful. Stay here regularly in the summer and always have a great time and love the park.

This was our first time to stay at this campground and we’re sure glad we did. The route we took to get there was beautiful surrounded by the mountains and just the peaceful atmosphere of that campground was something special as well. It seemed as though most of the park was except for 1 or 2 areas for tent and camper camping but we were right on the waters edge and enjoyed the sounds of nature (ducks, geese) the first night was pretty cold then the second night was super windy and got colder as the night went on. Super fun experience and much needed
