What Guests Are Saying
Washington Cove is a well-maintained campground with friendly staff and clean facilities, making it a favorite for many campers. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, and good access to the lake for activities like kayaking and fishing. However, some concerns include low water pressure, the need for longer hoses, and issues with large rocks in certain camping spots that pose a trip hazard.

This park has a good chance of being excellent but it needs some maintenance compared to other COE parks. Trees need trimmed alongside the roads. Trees need trimmed above camp sites. The major thing is site levelness. They need gravel and a blade to level. Of all 3 or 3 sites Iβve been on all 3 was badly in need of leveling. Having to block 4-6β on one side is to much. Other then that, itβs good.

Front section appears to be the older section. Sites are very close together and the site I chose online was much closer in person. Site 11 and 10 share same back up space and too difficult to maneuver camper.

Always love staying here close to home base. Campground host and groundskeepers could be a little more on top of things (in our opinion since we have been in their position and understand how things work).

Mostly large sites with lots of green space. Bath house always clean. Also, Mr. Lance at the gatehouse and Ranger Justin very helpful in anyway. Would definitely stay again.

Our spot was shady (especially on fridge side of camper) and close to the lake with plenty of room between other campers! The volunteers were very friendly and do an excellent job of keeping camp sites clean!

Beautiful shaded lots close to the lake. Restrooms are kept really clean. Itβs quiet. Good place to get away to relax and rest.

Our site was easy to get into and the electric was close. Water was shared with another site but still close enough to connect with our water hose. The weather was HOT but we has almost complete shade for the whole day. We had a lovely view of the lake. The whole park was neat and clean...including the bathrooms! Our camp site was clear, no fallen tree limbs or trash, and the fire ring was clean and ready to go. We love coming to Washington Cove @ Copan Lake
You can get REALLY GOOD old fashioned beefy hamburgers/cheeseburgers at Copan Truck Stop. It's about 3 miles from Washington Cove on Highway 75. We usually call ahead, do takeout, and take them back to camp.
