Washington Cove is a well-maintained campground with friendly staff and clean facilities, making it a favorite for many campers. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, and good access to the lake for activities like kayaking and fishing. However, some concerns include low water pressure, the need for longer hoses, and issues with large rocks in certain camping spots that pose a trip hazard.

Nicely maintained Corps of Engineers site. Wooded with some premium lakeside locations. Paved road and narrower loops were wide enough to get around in a large RV. Speaking to a local, we understand it is a very popular spot so it is a good idea to book early. We were able to back in our 46-foot toy hauler without a problem. Nice boat ramp just outside the gate. Discounts for National Park senior pass users. Be sure to note the gate hours and check in times.

Just very, very, hot. But you have nothing to do with that. But would have liked to see 50 amp service and water at each site. Had a great time and very clean. Thanks

The restrooms were so clean and grounds were beautifully kept. The lake was easy to get to. The paid people and volunteers were super nice. Itβs our new favorite place!
