What Guests Are Saying
Washington Cove is a well-maintained campground with friendly staff and clean facilities, making it a favorite for many campers. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, and good access to the lake for activities like kayaking and fishing. However, some concerns include low water pressure, the need for longer hoses, and issues with large rocks in certain camping spots that pose a trip hazard.

We stay here quite often due to close to home, Area is well kept, friendly host. Would be really nice if there was a walking trail to east of campsites.

This is our favorite close to home camping destination. The park is always well maintained and well run. This is a beautiful campground on a very pretty small lake.

I spent one night at Washington Cove due to the weather forecast of rain and cold.
The day was exceptionally beautiful and I enjoyed the many birds , the fall color, the sunset and the thousands of bright stars that lit up the sky in the night.
I have enjoyed getting away to Washington Cove this summer. It's very close to home and it's like having a cabin on the lake!

We arrived to have another camper in our spot. This small camp area has at least 6 permanent campers that I guess they list as camp hosts? We could not get one of these "hosts" to answer their door, and of course not one of them was at the check in station during business hours. We finally had to confront the other campers and they assured us that they knew the camp hosts and it would be fine to pick another spot other than the one they were in, even though we had it reserved online. After demanding they show where they had it reserved and calling the 800 number that confirmed we were the only guest booked at that site, they finally agreed to move. After talking to several people, this seems to be a common occurrence here, and that the camp host's "friends" claim the best spots and then try to say they must have doubled booked when this is not possible when having to reserve online. Long and short, this is a great campsite but very poorly managed. Skip this site if you can.

We had the perfect site, close to the bath house and a great view of the lake. In mid-october during the week we almost had the place to ourselves. The volunteers were all helpful and friendly
