Cookson Campground is very safe and clean. Had a great relaxing time. The marina is first class. Several quite lake restaurant/bar’s that were happening on the weekends now that it’s turning fall. I stayed away from them because of Covid. The main attraction is Lake Tenkiller Ferry. The lake is clear and pristine. Great for fishing, boating, swimming or just wildlife watching. A Bald Eagle buzzed my RV camp # Chen 47 for 2 minutes. It was incredible!!! The gate keepers and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful.

The boat ramp was very hard to maneuver around and half my truck was in the water. The shower house was closed. It would have been nice to been updated about this situation. Other than that, it was very quiet and people were very helpful, since this was our first time on Lake Tenkiller

Cookson is always a good place to camp, Though the park Needs a lot of attention, lots and lots of areas washing out. On the good side, the lake and shore line is looking great compared to a couple of years ago.

Beautiful camping areas with super clean bathrooms! Most of the time the bathroom smelled like cleaner. The camping area on the waters edge is gorgeous!
