What Guests Are Saying
Cedar Lake is highly praised for its beautiful campground, clean facilities, and well-maintained trails, making it a favorite destination for camping and horseback riding. The friendly camp host and the serene environment contribute to a positive experience, with many guests expressing their desire to return. However, some visitors noted maintenance issues with the showers, limited cell service, and the need for upgrades in certain areas, but these did not significantly detract from their overall enjoyment.

Beautiful, quiet lake with nice hiking trail around lake. Warm showers, nice restrooms and clean campsites. Heavener is nearby with the Southern Belle restaurant for lunch and dinner Tues-Sat.

Cedar Lake Campground was clean, well maintained and not too busy. Once we found the trail around the lake it was well marked and a good loop. The lake itself was quiet and clear. The facilities smelled good, were warm and well stocked. The only thing we were displeased with, was the lack of info on connecting trails and access to maps to better explore the area. We will definitely be coming back!

Best place to camp with your horses and meet up with friends. Trails are great and maintained by a group of volunteers.

This is my favorite spot for camping and it's typically great year round. No power boats allowed. This makes it really quiet and great place for kayakers and electric trolling boats.
This is my goto place.

Stayed at group site 2. It is a great site with plenty of space for tents and great trees for hammocks. Clean bathrooms and the grounds were clean as well.

Absolutely beautiful, peaceful and amazing night skies. Really appreciated hot water at the bathroom down the hill. If the bathroom at the top of the hill between the two group sites was functional it would have been perfect.

We will visit again. Access to the campground was easy, and our camping site was perfect.

The park itself is very beautiful, sites are clean and spacious. Our site was overlooking the lake and was absolutely beautiful, the only complaint we had was the constant distractions from the camp host. Apparently they don't have good cell service either and would come outside rather often to make calls (via speaker), constantly coming and going in their noisy vehicles and hollering at each regularly. We came camping for peace and quiet, not to be constantly reminded or noisey neighbors (to be the camp host at that). Also, we came down during deer season and to hunt on the public land there. While we were staked out we heard several noises only to see that it was two trail riders passing through in dark clothing at dusk!!! Please if you come down to ride the trails during hunting season, please wear orange!!!
