Cedar lake is a true gem of Oklahoma! I have been camping at Cedar Lake since 1971. So happy that you can no longer use your big engine when fishing and just use your trolling motor. Which means less boat traffic and fishermen that just pounded the lake. Especially every afternoon from the local's boat after boat. Back in 2018 one guy was bringing his giant ski boat every afternoon, running his big engine! Campers had no peace if you were camping on the North side. While I was camping at Cedar Lake in April, on the North side. One of men who was using a riding mower knew he was making me mad, and one other fisherman! And I think he did it for spite, he did not have any respect for campers or fishermen. One man fishing from the dock just up and left because of the guy on the mower was running over giant rocks tearing the hell out of the mower, causing so much noise, and dust everywhere. As I watched the guy mowing, he looked at me and he knew he was making me mad, just snickering all the while. He was mowing place's that did not even need mowing. I Love Cedar Lake, and the Kiamichi Mountains! I will be back!
