About Brush Creek Public Use Area

Brush Creek is located downstream of Keystone Dam, just 10 minutes from Tulsa, Oklahoma. This park features campground provided activities such as horseshoes, cornholes, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, a mile-long fitness trail, and quick access to nearby multi-purpose trails. This is a popular destination for fishermen as they have the ability to cross along the pedestrian bridge from the campground to the fishing berm below the dam. In additon to fishing, this area offers prime opportunities to observe multiple wildlife species.  Please note when camping here, while typically quiet, water releases from the dam are preceded by several warning signals from a horn. This is a brief safety measure for anyone in or near the water below the dam, and there is no danger to the campground.

It was a very nice, clean and quiet location. We had an excellent view of the back of the dam and the stream.

We enjoyed our trip to Tulsa thanks. We really liked the Brush Creek camp. Wasn't very many people at park but it was nice, clean and very cold. Plan on returning when its warmer.

Very quiet location to camp with plenty of things to do around you (hike, fish, boat, ATV/UTV trail rides, etc..). The inner circle of camp sites are full hook up and great level pads. We have a 43' fifth wheel and had no issues getting in and out of the park. The camp host came to verify it was us pulling in the spot we had reserved and then never bothered us at all, he also does a good job of keeping the place cleaned up. The only reason it did not get five stars is the water hook up is pretty far away so you need at least 50' of hose and the flood gate sirens go off as needed when they release water. Not an issue during the day but it can be very loud at night and can wake you up if you are not prepared. This is not a deterrent for us though, we will be back in May since they were closing it down to do some upgrades to the area (basketball court area and a kids fishing pond).

We have been here three times. It’s nice, quiet , clean and loved the area. The sites on the interior have sewer, the exterior sites don’t. They have closed until Spring 2021 for updates.

Very large campsites. The view of Keystone dam was wonderful. I enjoyed walking our dogs on the one mile fitness trail. We are looking forward to coming back next year.

A great little campground but recent efforts of the management are keeping it on a steady downhill slope. The latest negative is that they have now put very obtrusive speed bumps throughout the campground, some that you have to cross at an angle. Regardless of how slow you go, it causes a rather violent rocking in any RV. It seems that every step they make moving forward is followed by two steps backwards. The new pavilion and the freshly paved roads are entirely offset by the speed bumps.

Only downside was the horn going off in the middle of the night! But we will be back.

Had a great time. The only thing to warn about is the downstream sirens. We knew about them and it did not bother us. Nice level sites.
