All the wife wanted for her b day was camping. The grounds were well maintained, having the option for electricity and water really did come in handy, i was able to hook a fan up for my puppy. Even when it got busy over the weekend, it didn't seem loud or crowded. 4 days with 5 kids and it was a total success

Our first trip to Heyburn Lake. The weather was not very cooperative. Our plan was for me to horse back ride and my husband to fish, he fishes out of a kayak. The trails close to camp were easy to follow but the further away the trails disappeared from lack of use. The wind on the lake was rough and there is a lot of debris. Not very friendly for kayak use. The camp host was very nice. The check in station was closed when we arrived, he brought our pass to our campsite before opening up so we didn’t have to go back up to check in. The campsites were nicely maintained.

It had rained about every day for three weeks before our camp date. Rained hard the morning of our trip, but we were able to setup. Surprised the camp was mowed, and in pretty good shape. Lake was up and driftwood trash all over the place, but cleared out by end of week. Camp crew was out and cleaned up and cleared out boat ramp. We had a good experience camping and using the shelter there. It only has 30 amp service we now need 50 amp, and there is no sewer trailer connection, but has dump site. Restrooms were clean. They have cleared out the shore area in the park, makes it much nicer now days.
