The park is beautiful and we really enjoyed the views. The geese however were very messy and we definitely had to watch our steps. Our dog was scared to walk on the grass after having burrs on his feet. I know you can’t do anything about the geese or the burrs, but you asked for an opinion.

None of the security lights work, property was grown up to the point it was difficult to tell where the gravel parking was in comparison to the grass.

When we arrive there was no gate attendant and no site map so we had to go back through other reviews to figure out the names of the roads and how the campsites were designated. It was great once we got there, but very frustrating up to that point.

Site J6, was almost completely level and clean. Had a very nice view of the lake. During my stay there there were only 4 other campers in the park. The only real negative was the lack of phone service for T Mobile customers

We always enjoy our camping trips to Hugo Lake. It is always nice and quiet and clean. I was happy to see new buoys out in the lake.

From Hugo, OK, take Highway 70 east for 5 mi and follow the posted signs to the campground.

General
- Pets must remain on leash under 6 feet in length.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- All sites have a 14-day limit.
- A dump station is on property, any discharge of waste waters is prohibited.
