What Guests Are Saying
Kiamichi Park offers beautiful, clean, and well-maintained campsites with stunning lake views, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and spacious sites, especially in the Juniper loop. However, some experienced issues with weather-related cancellations, communication, and maintenance, particularly concerning overgrown grass and restroom accessibility. Overall, guests express a strong desire to return despite minor inconveniences.

We stayed 2 nights in the "R" area of Kiamichi park. The area was wonderfully remote, tucked away in the woods. The camping spots had nice separation between them (~100ft?), which added to the sense of solitude and privacy. We were there specifically for the 2024 eclipse, and got a fantastic show. At the time we were there, there was no electricity available in the area. A park ranger explained to me that there was damage to the line "upstream" somewhere. Hopefully they'll get that fixed soon, but even without electricity, it made for a wonderful boondocking experience.

Our water faucet did not work, had to go to next camp for water, The Bathrooms were locked, we went to gate office it was always closed, finally knocked on the camp host door and nobody was there. The Electric went off on the whole loop and we were all asked to leave the camp site on Sunday

Beautiful lake views. Easy to get in and out of the parks. Highly recommend, and would stay again when passing through.

Th public restroom/shower area at Juniper could use some cleaning. They weren't cleaned while I was there.

Besides the black widows and wasp in the vault toilets the campground was very nice. Had a nice swim in the lake off the swimming beach.

we arrived at the park not knowing it had been shut down. we got there and no other visitors were there so we had the choice spot at Q-2 and were delighted to enjoy our stay there. It was very quiet and deer were out moving around so made for a very pleasant stay. the place was very clean and mowed all around.

One of the best COE parks I have stayed at and I’ve never stayed at a bad one. Every site in J-loop is large and landscaped to be picture perfect. Almost every site has an outstanding view of the lake and has lake front.

This camping spot was on a hill. So walking around the RV and/or walking out of the RV was a challenge. Their was not a good lake view from the RV or from the table/camping area.
We drove around the park and found a better spot that was open so we booked that and moved the RV.

Even with the storm, the lightning shore was beautiful reflecting off the water! We celebrated two 70 yr olds birthdays there! 😎

Great sites overlooking the water, well spaced and shaded. Restrooms are single units but a bit of a walk from campsites. Be sure to check out nearby Historic Fort Towson. Depot Steakhouse is excellent. Will definitely stay here again. No T-Mobile phone service.
