What Guests Are Saying

Alsea Falls Recreation Site is a beautiful, well-maintained campground that offers spacious, private campsites and easy access to scenic hiking trails, including a lovely trek to Alsea Falls. Reviewers appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, clean facilities, and the charming, rainforest setting. While some noted minor issues with bathroom maintenance and road noise, overall, the campground is highly recommended for a relaxing getaway in nature.

Would have got the highest rating if we had not been without water for 3 days! I believe we are entitled to a parcial refund!

We were very disappointed with our trip. Us being aware of fire danger wanted to make sure if we could have campfires. So going to the website and checking didn't amount to anything. So I looked to see who to call or email to find out. BLM information came up and got a reply saying no campfires but could have cooking items with on and off switches. Was upset but called number again just to confirm. I got same explanation no fires. So we unloaded our firewood and headed out. So later after camp set up I told my boyfriend I swear I hear wood crackling. So we went for a walk and sure enough several people had fires. So we went to camp host to ask. John said fires in fire pits are fine had no message saying different from the Range. So now we had spend $30 on fire wood to have a fire when we had wood at home but unloaded cause was told now. Very upsetting and would like to know if can get reimbursed for that? I feel like communication needs to be better between everyone especially when it comes to fire safety. Shame on them.

Alsea Falls is easily accessible and not too far from Corvallis. It has a very beautiful, smaller campground with lots of trees and shade and space between sites. The sites facing the Alsea river have little footpaths to the river to go and cool off, which is wonderful on hot days. We were in space 10, which was next to the latrines (no flush toilets here) and the only complaint I had about the space is that it occasionally got a whiff of sewage when the wind decided to blow past the latrines first before reaching us. However, we were surrounded by trees and birds and had lovely hikes, so this didn't phase us much. Even during summer vacation, there were vacant spaces during the week and other campers were polite and quiet at night. Would definitely go again.

Clean bathrooms, nice sized campsites, potable water, and beautiful views! There was only one other campsite occupied when we were there so it was also very quiet. The sites are located very close to the falls trails as well as another trail that takes you to the other campgrounds. The parking is also very close to the campsite which makes it easy to unload your things. Overall would return again!

We had a great time. The campground was clean and had full carts of firewood available for $10 (about two nights of fires). Looking forward to our next trip!
