What Guests Are Saying
Mona campground offers a great mix of sun and shade, with ample space between sites and clean bathrooms. The location is ideal for biking, hiking, and kayaking, and the camp host, Leslie, received high praise. While it can get crowded and noisy due to local visitors and water activities, it remains a lovely spot for camping, albeit with some bugs and algae in the lake.

This campground is gorgeous! It's the only thing on that side of the reservoir. Every site is shaded and concealed from the others. Hosts are friendly and helpful, bathrooms are clean and water worked. In case you are curious, the road going around the reservoir and all of the campground roads are paved, which was really nice on a bike. Site 16 was huge and has 3 spots to put a tent. Beautiful view of the water. We came from Idaho and visited the following areas, which were all worth the trip: Tamolitch, Koosah, and Sahalie Falls, Blue Pool, Cougar Reservoir, and Terwilliger Hot Springs.

Great campground on a beautiful reservoir! The campground host was awesome and had firewood on hand if you needed to buy some and didn't want to run into town. It was also maintained better than any other campground I've been to, with the bathrooms being cleaned several times over the weekend. There are lots of great hiking trails and sights to see around the area as well. Highly recommend!

We never had our placemats changed to show the site was reserved. The area was clean and well kept. The water was incredibly low!!

Would give 5 stars, but was not allowed to have a campfire.
First time ever getting chewed up by bugs, with citronella candles and bug spray. All because we couldn't have a campfire.
Was nice there was water close by, garbage bins, spots pretty far apart for privacy, wood available for purchase (without a campfire), and a stream just down the slope.

Water was let out of the reservoir for our kayak scout outing. I emailed questions to determine a course of action. But it took so long to get a reply that we were not able to adjust.
So we had to kayak about an hour away.

We had a wonderful time, even during wildfire season. The forest on this campground thankfully survived the raging wildfires. The campsites are clean and big enough, easy water access and plenty places to walk around, swim, fish or just sit with a book

We camp at Mona often. We were sad that the water was let out early this year, so we weren't able to enjoy any water activities but we did some hiking and it was a nice relaxing trip.

The camping spots were space far enough apart that it didn't feel as though we were camping with the other people. The water was super low but still cooled the air enough. I will be coming back.
