What Guests Are Saying

Mona campground offers a great mix of sun and shade, with ample space between sites and clean bathrooms. The location is ideal for biking, hiking, and kayaking, and the camp host, Leslie, received high praise. While it can get crowded and noisy due to local visitors and water activities, it remains a lovely spot for camping, albeit with some bugs and algae in the lake.

The campsite wasn't very private. I could see on one side 4-5 other sites full view down the row and 3-4 other direction. At night we could all see each other as firepits were all in same place all in row.
Bathrooms were really yucky and ran out of TP. We ended up leaving a day early because by then we were just over it. We will not go back.
Beautiful area though.

We love camping at blue river in Mona campground. It's so secluded and dense with forest that you don't realize how close you are to the other campers. Been camping here since I was 10! So thankful that this precious gem survived the wildfire.

Mona is very family friendly. We thought the chalk sidewalk drawings were great. Our campsite was very clean. We had a few opportunities to talk to the camp host. She and her girls were so friendly. We appreciated the way they love their job. Thanks for having them there. Foraging for red huckleberries was a delight in the campground. We wished our camp neighbors had brought a rubber mallet instead of a hammer to put up their tent. We'll be back and thank you.

My family always enjoys our time camping here. The host is very nice and informational. The bathrooms were cleaned and restocked every morning . We felt safe camping here during this pandemic and will be back for sure.
