Black Canyon Campground offers a beautiful setting beside a glacier-fed river, providing a cool swimming area during hot summer days. The campground is well-maintained, with clean facilities and friendly hosts, ensuring a pleasant experience. However, visitors should be aware of the nearby train and highway noise, which can be disruptive at times, especially at night.

The stream is a joy to sit by or to swim in, the bottom is round river rocks so a little slippy getting in. The host is a friendly guy, very helpful. Some sites here are fantastic and some are a little disappointing, it's a mixed bag. The FF sites along the river are best.

This is a nice campground. We chose a site that was closer to the river, but also closer to the highway. The setting was beautiful, but between the highway and the train tracks across the river, there was no illusion of wilderness. The water spigots were already winterized in mid-September and while this wasn't a problem for us, I wonder why they don't just wait to do it at the end of the month when the campground closes.

The bathrooms were clean and the campground quiet. Our space was very nice! Would highly recommend.

Pretty riverside location! Didn’t realize we’d booked the group site so paid 30$ more than we might have! It would be nice to have some hose friendly spigots yo get water in the trailer.
