Black Canyon Campground offers a beautiful setting beside a glacier-fed river, providing a cool swimming area during hot summer days. This is a great campground with lots of spots. It’s very quiet and since it’s located by the river, you can hear it flowing all night. The camp manager was very nice too.

Narrow roads with rocks. I scraped my vehicle. Also, train and road noise.

Beautiful campground with huge towering trees, right on the river. Space and undergrowth keeps separation and privacy between campers. Small paths through the forest, with four foot tall ferns are fun to walk. Everyone should stay there once.
Excellent hosts, helpful… with clean toilets. Right on the highway, so there is road noise, but not too bad. Occasionally trains go by, a few times sounding like they’d come right through the tent, but that wasn’t often and they became an amusement. Close to Oakridge where there is gas, restaurants, ice, groceries, a brew pub and mountain biking store.
