What Guests Are Saying
Mckenzie Bridge campground offers a beautiful and quiet location with private sites, many near the river, making it a popular choice for repeat visitors. Guests appreciate the lovely natural surroundings, shade from trees, and nearby hiking opportunities. However, some have noted issues with site proximity, restroom cleanliness, and a frustrating check-in experience, particularly regarding reservation management and interactions with other campers.

No camp host. Somebody had already taken our spot and the bathrooms were closed

The hosts were very friendly and informative. Drinking water is available by hand pumps in the campground. There are vault toilets only. There is no lighting, so it is nice to sleep in pitch dark and listen to the river. The campground is just off of Rt.126, so we did hear some traffic noise at times.
We went to Sahalie and Koosah falls nearby. These falls are a definite must see. The McKenzie River Trail is very scenic. Blue Pool access was closed, so maybe we can see it next visit.

Arrived on Labor Day fir a two night stay. Very few camping 👍🏻 No neighbors and the camp host changed my reservation to one of the best riverside campsites in the grounds.

We stayed at #8 for 4 nights and it was literally the best campsite I’ve ever stayed in. We checked in on a Monday and had the whole place to ourselves for a few days. The river was so close and the forest was stunning. The bathrooms were basic but very clean. We were already planning our next trip before our stay ended. Absolutely heavenly ❤️

I do not recommend site #7 for anything other than a tent! We showed up with our 20 ft trailer and there was no way we were getting in this spot. It says it can accommodate a 25ft trailer and there is NO way. It doesn't mention that the width is probably less than 10 ft, so even if we could back in to it, it would be tight with the slide out and no chance you are getting your awning out with the trees and brush. Also to say this is riverfront is very misleading. There is no direct access to the river from this site. There is a lot of brush and in order to get to river you'd be walking through your neighbors site. While you can hear the river you do not have a view or a path that isn't overgrown. The camp host was nice and even admitted that site 7 is really tight and she has problems with people not being able to fit in it. We had our choice of first come sites (because it was a million degrees)that we could have moved to, but of course had to pay extra. We wouldn't get a refund on the site we booked and couldn't use. We decided to not stay, mostly beacuse it was just too hot with no hookups. The campground looked pretty though and was relatively untouched by wildfires that raged the area last fall. We may try again next year

Always a great place to camp. Tall Douglass fir trees for shade and the delightful sound of the McKenzie River rushing by to lull you to sleep.

Loved the River sounds, a short walk to a riverside place to have your morning tea. Bathrooms were kept spic and span. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed close by Belknap hotsprings and paddleboarding at Clear Lake.
