Trapper Creek is one of our favorite campgrounds! We love the campsites along the creek and the lush western forest vegetation. It is a 5 minute walk to the resort, so if you have friends who want to enjoy the experience but are not campers, there are cabins nearby that can be rented while you camp in the most beautiful of forests. They can enjoy the marshmallow roasting, songs around the fire, and ghost stories, and then walk over to their cabin while you snuggle in to your sleeping bags for a REAL camping experience. The sites along the lake are favored by people with boats and kayaks, because of easy access. Odell is known for it's kokanee fishing - a delicious landlocked salmon. Early in the summer, mosquitoes can be bad, but as the summer progresses, not so many mosquitoes. No hookups for trailers, so dry camping only, and pit toilets but the camp hosts keep them clean. Reserve early because this is a favorite campground and fills up seasonally.

Great campground - wooded, friendly campers. Easy access to Odell Lake and great kayak launch spot. Train runs nearby but we didn’t hear it after 10 pm.

Nice campground, the bathrooms were clean, and the sites were close to everything including water for my RV. However, we never saw the camp host while we were there. We noticed a sign for firewood at the camp host site but no firewood. The people that had boats were using the camp site near the beach to launch, even though they didn't have a site near the water. They must have been locals who didn't care if they walked through someone's else's camp site. Other than that, we had a nice stay and met some very nice people.

Nice campground. Being at the top of the ridge there is more moisture and denser foliage than e.g. Crescent Lake which is about 10 miles east. I stayed in mid-late October and the Kokanee were spawning in the creek! Go to the footbridge near site 6 to see that.
Site 27 is on the far side of the campground from the lake. It's probably one of the most private and quiet sites.
