There were many resevered sites that did not show up for the week — I wish there was a way to notify cancellation and make it available for others who want a site on short notice

The camp host was so friendly we have encountered some in the past at different locations that have made us not want to return. The camp hosts here let the people camp. I really liked that. Someone had logged in the sites we had and we were told didn’t finish the job so logs were down right where the best tent sites would be. Our sites were overgrown and needed some TlC otherwise it was a good experience. Fishing was good. Loved the trail to Shelter Cove.

Halfway through our camping trip they wouldn’t let us have a fire. Very cold and wet. Forest service is getting worse each year putting more restrictions and earlier restrictions. Soon you won’t even get to have a fire. Trapper creek on Odell lake is a wetter location then others and should have it’s own individual restrictions placed on it based on the realities at the site, not based on the conditions 20 miles to the east where it is dryer and hotter.

I can’t wait to go back & spend longer! Very very old camp ground. I’d say 75 years old. The landscaping all there the camp is just amazing! Ooooooo & ahhhh around every corner as I found my spot! It’s right on the PCT & I talked to the hikers! I just loved my whole experience there.

Trapper Creek is one of our favorite campgrounds! We love the campsites along the creek and the lush western forest vegetation. It is a 5 minute walk to the resort, so if you have friends who want to enjoy the experience but are not campers, there are cabins nearby that can be rented while you camp in the most beautiful of forests. They can enjoy the marshmallow roasting, songs around the fire, and ghost stories, and then walk over to their cabin while you snuggle in to your sleeping bags for a REAL camping experience. The sites along the lake are favored by people with boats and kayaks, because of easy access. Odell is known for it's kokanee fishing - a delicious landlocked salmon. Early in the summer, mosquitoes can be bad, but as the summer progresses, not so many mosquitoes. No hookups for trailers, so dry camping only, and pit toilets but the camp hosts keep them clean. Reserve early because this is a favorite campground and fills up seasonally.

Great campground - wooded, friendly campers. Easy access to Odell Lake and great kayak launch spot. Train runs nearby but we didn’t hear it after 10 pm.

Nice campground, the bathrooms were clean, and the sites were close to everything including water for my RV. However, we never saw the camp host while we were there. We noticed a sign for firewood at the camp host site but no firewood. The people that had boats were using the camp site near the beach to launch, even though they didn't have a site near the water. They must have been locals who didn't care if they walked through someone's else's camp site. Other than that, we had a nice stay and met some very nice people.

Beautiful campground no hookups or cell service. Mosquitoes and bees some years numerous but most years barely noticable. Hiking trails.and a beautiful lake with good fishing and boating

Nice campground. Being at the top of the ridge there is more moisture and denser foliage than e.g. Crescent Lake which is about 10 miles east. I stayed in mid-late October and the Kokanee were spawning in the creek! Go to the footbridge near site 6 to see that.
Site 27 is on the far side of the campground from the lake. It's probably one of the most private and quiet sites.
