What Guests Are Saying
Sutton Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment, with clean restrooms and attentive hosts. Many visitors appreciate the spacious, private campsites and the accessibility of nearby hiking trails. However, some guests find the pricing a bit high compared to nearby campgrounds with more amenities, and there are concerns about tree maintenance affecting RV access. Overall, the campground is favored for its tranquility and cleanliness, making it a great base for exploring the surrounding area.

Very well-maintained campground with warm and personable hosts. Electric service is reliable and well-grounded as my surge protector measures voltage as well. The restrooms are clean - and the grounds are kept in excellent condition.

Absolutely beautiful campground! Not to mention the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Most campsite are secluded, spacious, and clean. Would not recommend if you're looking for quick beach access however, there is a lot of great hiking nearby.

The entire campground is very well maintained and bathrooms clean. While there are some sites with 30 Amp power, there is no potable water for RV hookups in each site. There is a threaded potable water faucet to refresh onboard water for use by any campers who are staying there, and there are non-threaded spigots for potable water near all sites for joint use. Hiking trails to the dunes and beach are well maintained a signage is clear. Located very conveniently in proximity to Hwy 101 just north of the city of Florence, with cellular reception on Verizon and T-Mobile. Most sites are paved and mostly level. Nice campground overall.

We love the old growth trees around the loop. The trails are clean and beautiful. There was a water break in loop a so we did not have water available. Did not hinder our stay in any way. Very clean and quiet campground and we will be back.

Beautiful campground. Sites feel secluded with all the vegetation. Close enough to Florence for grocery shopping and restaurants. We had no problem fitting with our 30’ travel trailer and truck.

Reserved a fantastic site with electrical hook ups. Clean bathrooms and well kept sites. This is our 10th visit to Sutton, first with a travel trailer! I didn’t realize there is no water connection with electric sites. We had enough stored water for our week trip. Loved the hikes and rain in October camping in Oregon!

Clean, quiet, and a very peaceful campground. We had our trailer and stayed in loop A spot 13. We could hardly see our neighbors, which is nice. There was ample trailer parking in our spot, and a fun area for our daughter to play around in, but not very much space for a tent if you needed it.

A lovely campground. Hiking options from the different loops, friendly host, well-spaced sites, nice clean bathrooms, quiet and away from highway.

It’s our first time to camp @ Sutton Campground and it did not disappoint us! We had a hard time finding a group campsite along the California coast. We had to deal with bad air quality in our area due to the fires and wanted to just get away to the coast. Thankfully, when I checked sites in Oregon this campground showed an available date. Reviews were great too. We had a great time here. The campsite is huge and can definitely have enough space for more than 6 tents though parking Is only good up to 7 cars. The Restrooms were clean which is a huge thing. And it was just across Group site Loop A. The children enjoyed the creek at the back of the campsite. Another plus is there’s electricity available in this site. We will definitely come back in the future. If you want to explore Heceta Head Lighthouse State Park it’s just 13 miles away from the campground. Lots of outdoor activities close by like the Sand Dunes, beach or the nearby lakes. The hosts were nice too. Highly recommend this campground
