What Guests Are Saying

Sutton Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment, with clean restrooms and attentive hosts. Many visitors appreciate the spacious, private campsites and the accessibility of nearby hiking trails. However, some guests find the pricing a bit high compared to nearby campgrounds with more amenities, and there are concerns about tree maintenance affecting RV access. Overall, the campground is favored for its tranquility and cleanliness, making it a great base for exploring the surrounding area.

I tried to cancel this reservation and was not allowed to cancel it because they couldn't find anyone around to take the cancellation. Bad Management@!!!!!!

We stayed at Sutton Campground for 3 nights around 08-16-2019. We had reserved our spot ahead of time, so the check in was easy when getting there. The site was great - plenty of room, privacy and near enough to the clean restrooms. It was quiet enough and we really enjoyed our small campfire and relaxing there. There is also a trail that goes to the beaches. Highly recommended!

Have to go into town for showers, otherwise we enjoyed camping in our site very much. The rope swing in the dunes is very popular with the kids.

Nice campground. Somewhat dirty though. Lots of litter on the side of the roads. Too many dogs! There were nearly as many dogs as people. Not a place to stay andd hang out for the day as there is nothing to do but hike. The advertising that there is swimming is false as the creek is a trickle. Will not visit again.

We loved everything about our tent camping experience at Sutton Lake Campground and are looking forward to another vacation there this coming summer!

Nice older campground. I've been camping here during the summer and even when full it's usually relatively quiet. It doesn't seem to attract loud, rowdy campers. Reservable sites are in the A loop and part of the B loop. It would be nice if all the B loop was reservable. There are plenty of hiking trails.

Beautiful campground. We had a nice creek behind our site in Loop A. Good privacy between campsites. The camp hosts were fantastic. The best we've had ever at a campground. Very helpful and responsive.

Have stayed at this site a number of time in years past. This last time was a disaster. The campground was full of families from a private school. The kids were loud, and were scattered throughout the campground. They were everywhere except the group campground, where they should have been. This type of "large group camping" should not be allowed. That's what group campsite are for. We finally had to move to the furthest away available group site to get some peace.
