Bull Prairie Campground offers a beautiful and clean environment with well-maintained facilities and spacious campsites. Camp hosts Heather and Jody are highly praised for their friendliness, helpfulness, and exceptional service, including providing free firewood and local knowledge. The camp was clean and the hosts were extremely nice and helpful. They were very friendly and gave all the children several Forest Service goodies. All had a good time on the lake and visiting. I would suggest that a large dumpster would be handy especially for large groups. Our group did pack it out and left the area clean.

Great time fishing, kayaking, and hiking. Camp hosts did an excellent job answering any of our questions. Beware, as there are mosquitos so bring repellent!

No cell service which is great! Pavedpath all the way around the beautiful lake, lake is fabulous for kayaking or floating. We stayed in group site 10 and it was enough for four trailers and 3 tents. Great fire ring , a little far from the bathroom but the kybo is always clean and stocked with toilet paper. Camp host told us that they were bringing water to the site because the potable water was a little far. A great site nice and quiet only one neighbor! If you need firewood make sure to go to the OHV park down the road and you get a giant amount of wood for $10! Mosquitoes of course cuz it's a lake, and it got a little cold at night because you are in the mountains. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great place to unplug and relax! Also the camp hosts are great! So helpful funny and kind!

We booked Group Site 10 and Multi Site 11 together for a long weekend. The sites appear to be neighboring, but they actually run together like one large site. Thankfully most in our large group canceled due to weather because these sites would not have accommodated the numbers that it says. The description lists the Group Site 10 as 25 people, 10 vehicles and the Multi Site 11 as 16 people and 5 vehicles. We had three small travel trailers (largest is 18 ft) and three cars, two people in small tents and that filled both of these sites. There were constant cars and trailers driving through our sites as that appeared to be the turnaround/pull through point at the end of the campground. There was no close restroom. We did not find any potable water. There is no garbage service, this we knew when booking. Our site was not clean. There was human waste with used toilet paper all around our campsites.

The well water at the campground ran out during our stay. We drove to a neighboring facility about 20 minutes drive and was able to refill our potable water containers. Plan ahead as there are limited local resources.

No camp host, no USFS employees for 4 days
No water for 5 days, as the USFS has been unable to hire Campground service people. Including camp hosts. The lake and campgrounds are pristine, please do not lose this beautiful place to lack of staffing problems.
