About Bull Prairie Campground (OR)

Bull Prairie Campground is a local gem; a beautiful, woodsy place to enjoy a vacation, host a family reunion or social event, and to enjoy multiple recreational pursuits. This moderate-sized campground is located adjacent to 28-acre Bull Prairie Lake, which is stocked annually with trout. An accessible, family-friendly paved trail along the lake is ideal for morning jogs, bicycle rides, picnicking, and shore or dockside fishing. The lake has a boat ramp, dock and trailer parking area, but only non-motorized boating is allowed. Nearby trails connect the campground and lake with the Morrow County OHV Park, 8 miles away. Note: ATVs are only allowed at the dump station and in the north part of the campground (sites 25-28).   While this campground offers potable water, there is no garbage service so please pack out all garbage and dispose of it at home.

The road going in to Bull Prairie Lake is very poor shape. We broke a spring on the trailer going in. Once their we had a great time. We talked to very nice campers from all over .Walk around the lake and relaxed. Please fix the road.

I reserved 3 sites and had family coming from Portland. I called umatilla national forest twice to assure we could have fires, as it had gone to phase B on August 28th. I was told yes and it also stated yes on the website. Unfortunately, one hand was not telling the other hand what to do, so we were told on Sunday morning we were in violation, and could be written a ticket, but this was a warning. Had we have known, we would not have traveled there and wasted $200. We would have gathered at our home, or purchased a propane heater in advance. Not impressed. I did my due diligence, and someone let the ball drop on their part.

Bull Prairie was great. Loved being able to launch our kayaks near the
campground, and walk the trail around the lake. Only downside was the cracked windshield we got when someone raced by the campsite too fast, and kicked up a rock.
