It was difficult to tell what they were calling a single site and what was a double or multiple site. Although we paid for a double site for 2 nites that we stayed there you would have never been able to get another RV in our site. I believe we overpaid and it should have been for a single. Also, we have an old age pass for the National Parks and it would not let us use it for the "double" sites so instead of $10 we ended up paying $20 per nite for the 2 nites we could not reserve for. The Recreation.gov site did not allow us to start our reservation until 6/5 saying that was the first date the site would accept reservations for this park but when we got there, there were many sites that had reservations for 6/3. All in all it was not the best of experiences and it would be nice to be able to get a refund for the 2 nites we paid for a "double" site when it was obviously a "single" site.

We were in site 21 which was quiet, private and near the boat ramp which was great because we brought our boat. The only negative is the site pad is not flat. We used blocks but didn't have enough to get our camper very level. This was our first time at Poole Creek and we will be back. We liked this campground and loved the lake. We especially liked that the lake level was not low like many of the lakes this time of year.

We have been coming here for 35+ years, love the area. Too bad so many people now feel the need for generators it takes away from the peaceful setting.
