The camp host was great! He met us immediately and guided us to our site. He gave great advice regarding things to see and do in the area. The site was clean and campground quiet. Our 25ft trailer fit well in RV1 and we had great views of the river. Highly recommend

Jackson campground is located right at the edge of a charming creek, and only about 5 from Jackson Reservoir. For tent camping, the campground is spacious with lots of room. The only drawback is there are only 3 sites for RV's or trailers, and if 3 are there, they are almost on top of each other. I stayed with one other trailer in this section, and it was comfortable. Another trailer or RV would have been crowded.

Quiet. Close to reservoir trails. Great host in Maggie. Appreciated the garbage cans and clean restrooms with flush toilets.

Small campground with only 8 tent-only sites (more for RV sites). But, each site is fairly spacious and half of them are right next to the Applegate River (with access to the river). Only one central bathroom, but it has flush toilets and electric lights. Not much privacy across the 8 tent sites, but when I stayed there, I was the only camper, so enjoyed super solitude and peaceful landscape. Good road to get to the entrance. About 30 min. to drive to Jacksonville where there are a gazillion hiking trails, and about 50 min. to the Nature Conservancy's Table Rock Trail.

The camp ground needs more bathrooms and maybe one with shower. Overall we'll maintained.

Showed up to our campsite, we were right in the middle of a bunch of families with little kids. We had two trucks and had confirmed with host that we could park two vehicles in the site and we could not. Poor advertising on the website stating itβs a camp on the river site. Pulled in and immediately left. Waste of money.

- Cancellations: Recreation.gov collects an $8 reservation fee, which is non-refundable. The campsite cancellation fee is a flat $10 for your entire reservation. EXAMPLE: if you booked (2) nites at $30 per nite, your total camping fee would be $68. If you cancelled at least 48-hours prior to your reservation arrival, your refund would be: $68-$8-$10 = $50 net refund. If you late cancel (within 48-hr of your arrival), you will also forfeit the first-nite camping fee. In this same example, you would be refunded: $68-$8-$10-$30 = $20 net refund. Processing refunds is time-consuming & expensive for the facility, and we potentially will not refill your camping spot.
