Campsite was misrepresented. I was expecting a site with full shade and a driveway long enough for my boat trailer. There was no shade and the driveway was only long enough to fit one vehicle with no trailer.

Campsites and day-use area at the river were overrun with very aggressive wasps this year. (July 2021) I was bit three times in one afternoon and my partner was bit twice. The well was having issues when we were there. The water was off for a few hours the first evening and the new camp host (nice guy!) had to close the bathrooms while well water was off and again when he needed to go to town midweek. I’ve never been escorted to the bathroom by a camp host at a forest service campground; a first! We really like the campground and have been camping there for years, but are concerned it is being run down by the current concessionaires. ADA toilet in women’s restroom was closed off and completely unavailable and had been for months per camp host. Sadly, the current concessionaire seems to have no interest in fixing anything on site.

Nice campground. I've been there before. The host was nice, but I had a few issues. My camp-site was occupied when I arrived. The host said she never got the reservation notice. Luckily, I had a print-out of my reservation. She verified the reservation, and apologized for the mix-up. No big deal. Due to "red-flag" fire danger, no campfires were allowed. Not even a charcoal bbq grill. I've done wildland firefighting in the past, so I understood why. However. A number of other campers had campfires, and the host ignored it. I had a reservation for 4 nights. After one night, I was told that I would have to leave. And given 2-hours notice. [ this happened about 11 am in the morning.] Three of us were allowed to stay another night, provided that we left by 8 am the next morning. One the 'plus' side. I did get a refund on my reservation. I'll stay there again. The fishing is great..

We love this campground we have been coming here for years. The downfall was that the bathroom only had 1 stall open, no soap provided, and the host only put 1 roll of toilet paper in there a day. And we noticed the hosts being rude to some campers and they definatley were intoxicated most of the time. I love this spot, always will, I just hope next time we stay new hosts will be there. I have never seen it like that.

As long as you don’t expect much from the hosts, you should be fine. We really like this campground because it’s close To the river, but that’s about it.

  • Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
  • Cancellations: Recreation.gov collects an $8 reservation fee, which is non-refundable. The campsite cancellation fee is a flat $10 for your entire reservation. EXAMPLE: if you booked (2) nites at $30 per nite, your total camping fee would be $68. If you cancelled at least 48-hours prior to your reservation arrival, your refund would be: $68-$8-$10 = $50 net refund. If you late cancel (within 48-hr of your arrival), you will also forfeit the first-nite camping fee. In this same example, you would be refunded: $68-$8-$10-$30 = $20 net refund. Processing refunds is time-consuming & expensive for the facility, and we potentially will not refill your camping spot. This loses revenue for the facility due to your situation & circumstances changing.
