Clean bathrooms, nice river spot, campsites with enough space in between.

The camp Host was available, helpful, and informative. I would give it 5 stars, but our picnic table was super low to the ground and covered in spiderwebs underneath, so we didn't use it, which was a hassle. It looks as though they are redoing the tables, but perhaps they haven't gotten to site four yet. But you can't beat the view and sounds of the river, so it made up for it. There was a problem with the water at the entire campground on the last night and morning of our visit. But again, the camp host did everything he could to be informative and accommodating, letting us know we could still get water at the main pump. so I really can't complain; I understand that things happen. The bathrooms were clean and had flushing toilets, which was a plus.

We were the only campers there, which meant it was nice and quiet, and we had a beautiful night to enjoy the stars and the view from the parking lot. We were surprised when we arrived to learn that the campground was essentially just a parking lot, but we had the best spot possible.

This is a tiny, but really pretty campground. Unfortunately, the camp host was nowhere to be found for our entire stay. The bathrooms were disgusting and hadn't been cleaned in a long time. There was absolutely no toilet paper in the women's bathroom and as the camp host was not present, I couldn't even let them know. There was also trash in our campsite, as well as dog poop. So sad because the location is really beautiful.

We really love it here! The river spots are great. The camp staff is helpful and mindful. The restrooms are really nice minus they are not cleaned very well the woman’s restroom had the same poop smear both weekends we’ve went. Along the side of it and in The middle where the seat parts in the big bathroom SUPER GROSS! There’s a ton of poison oak, though for the most part it’s kept at bay in the sites themselves. Lots of places to hang out hammocks and the sites are far enough apart to have some sense of privacy. The sites are clean and well maintained. Same price for an RV and a tent though seems odd. $30 a night. Have fun!

Great visit. I've been there many times in the past. The park host, Phil, is the best one yet. He stays 'on top of things'. He cares about the overall condition of the campground, and the guests staying there. If there is an issue, he will take care of it. I plan on staying there many more times in the future.

Easy to find, small facility with camp sites scattered to provide ample privacy. On the River and a good starting point for day explorations. Very friendly and attentive Host, Phil, who really takes pride in his work. The bathroom is well stocked and clean! We all enjoyed our stay very much and will retrurn.

Overall pretty great. The facilities are well maintained and the host was super helpful. Our neighbors the first day shared their entire life with the whole campground but that's the nature of established campgrounds. I think we were in #8 which has a great tent spot overlooking the river. We were van camping so couldn't take full advantage but a good spot nonetheless. Pretty shaded most of the day if I recall. River access is easy and suitable for kids. You'll want to keep an eye on littles though of course. It's definitely a beautiful spot along the Applegate.

Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
  • Cancellations: Recreation.gov collects an $8 reservation fee, which is non-refundable. The campsite cancellation fee is a flat $10 for your entire reservation. EXAMPLE: if you booked (2) nites at $30 per nite, your total camping fee would be $68. If you cancelled at least 48-hours prior to your reservation arrival, your refund would be: $68-$8-$10 = $50 net refund. If you late cancel (within 48-hr of your arrival), you will also forfeit the first-nite camping fee. In this same example, you would be refunded: $68-$8-$10-$30 = $20 net refund. Processing refunds is time-consuming & expensive for the facility, and we potentially will not refill your camping spot.
