What Guests Are Saying
Aspen Point at Lake of the Woods offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious, private sites, excellent lake access, and friendly hosts. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity for outdoor activities, such as biking and kayaking. However, there are consistent complaints about the outdated and poorly maintained restroom facilities, as well as noise issues during peak times, which detracts from the overall experience.

The camp site itself was very clean and well maintained. We have been going to The Lake of the Woods for approximately 10 years. The bathrooms and showers are in such poor condition. The young people who clean the bathrooms do no more than change the toilet paper.
The showers and bathrooms are a disgrace.
The management of this recreation park needs a wake-up call.

It was a refreshing time, as always. Beautiful clean and campers respected eachother’s quiet times.

I’ve camped there a lot, but this time they had a live band in the group site that played until 10. My idea of. Amping at a National Forest campground is to have quiet so you can hear the birds and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings. A live band should not be allowed, period! Totally inappropriate and it ruined my last night there.

Nice camp ground. very beautiful lake. But the weather can be a bit unpredictable.
The bathrooms are very old but they do keep them clean.

There were a lot of people that were only there for a day coming down in front of the campsites and parking then going down to the beach and messing with our stuff we had a couple items stolen from us while we went back up to our camp for lunch. It seems as though the camp post go to bed early and do not care too much about what goes on after that.
