We camped at Sunset twice this summer and both trips were awesome. The bathrooms are kept clean, the hosts are friendly and helpful and they make sure the 10:00 p.m. quiet time is enforced from partiers and generators. The campsites are large and mostly private. It's a great campground very well run! Kudos to Lake of the Woods Resort for running the campground so efficiently!

The campsites felt secluded from one other with all of the trees. The lake was a very short walk from our campsite and we were able to have our own area at the waterfront. The bathrooms were kept clean; with flush toilets and hand drier.

Of all the states this is my favorite! The atmosphere is amazing. The camp host are nice and patient. The bathroom are extremely clean thanks to the camp host. There is no shower at Sunset but there is at Aspen point which you can use if you bring quarters.
If you camp here just remember the sites next to the water have a lot of bugs compared to the others. Also if you bring a generator you can only run it for three Total hours a day, and only from 7am to 10 pm. So we would run ours in the morning for an hour and before bed for an hour.
Overall tho my absolute favorite!!!

We love the lake and the surrounding biking-hiking trails. Having a resort near the campground is nice.
