Wonderful environment and hiking. Huge sites and lots of privacy. Only downer was the wildfire smoke that moved in the last day I was there :(

We wanted a campsite that was remote but not too far from Klamath Falls Amtrak, because the next step on the journey was a train trip to Portland. This lovely campground was a happy surprise, nestled in an old growth forest, with plenty of sites but with a spacious feeling. We had to bed down early because of an early morning train, and I am happy to share that the campground's noise level was not a factor in getting to sleep. In fact, our neighbor on one side was playing acoustic guitar so we fell asleep as he worked on his rendition of Stevie Nick's Landslide. Great!

Beautiful, well kept campground with easy access to the lake and short walk to the lodge. We’ve camped at Sunset twice this summer and can’t wait to get back up there. It’s so peaceful, quiet and very relaxing.

the thing about camping here or anywhere is that it is so difficult to get reservations. Also our stay had people that came in to a different spot and played their mariachi music quite loud and it was very annoying

Super helpful camp host was waiting right at the entry to welcome us with directions to our site and tips for enjoying the surrounding area. Very clean, roomy campsite with adequate space between us and our neighbors. Easy access to the bathrooms and the lake. The bathrooms were also very clean! Beautiful campground with an appropriate name. The view of sunset was amazing!
