Had very good weather, although cold at night. Not many campers in the campground that late in the season. Walking around near dusk, we saw a group of deer in a field within the campground. Facilities were well maintained. Especially happy with the cleanliness of the bathrooms!

Have a 38ft. Diesel pusher. We had a very pleasant stay. The camp host, Bob, was outstsnding. Unbelievable that the camp host crew were out every morning cleaning up, blowing the roadways off and taking care of the area. We were impressed. The only negative to the camp was the spaces that were long enough for our rig were by no means level. The guys in the front office were great about letting us try to find another spot and even went around the camp showing us the available one but the space we had was the better of what was available. Even the camp host had blocks under his jacks with the front of his motor home way up.

It was a wonderful time, me my wife and two younger sons stayed two nights. The cabin was very spacious. Bigger then other ones we have stayed in. It rained when we were there so we were in the cabin a lot, but it was great. The park ranger was very nice and friendly. The only thing I will say that I would say I didn’t like was the shower in the men’s, the water never got warm. So we had to take a cold shower. We are looking forward to goin back this summer.

We always find the camp caretakers to be friendly and helpful as well as the staff at the office. Fishermen's Bend is a great launching pad for "exploring" the Detroit Lake area. Lots of hikes available and the ammenities along the river are great.

Excellent park. Great hosts and beautifully maintained. If you use satellite recommendation is to confirm satellite line of site. There are many trees and fairly dense forest.
