Beautiful area, nicely kept campground, bathrooms were clean, camp hosts were friendly and very helpful when we had an issue with another set of campers.
Awesome trail around the lake, with another trail that one could take that looped back to the campground. Great lake for fishing, kayaking, floating and swimming. Ample crawdads for your late night campfire snack as well.
We had the large group site...ample room for many tents and vehicles...even had space for a volleyball court.
Be sure to take bug spray, tiki torches, and citronella candles though. You will need them.

Walton Lake has always been a favorite spot of our’s for 20 years. Small intimate lake, well stocked with fish.
This year we were over run by dear flys and I have the bites to prove it.

Peaceful and quiet on the tent-only side. Great hiking, clean restrooms and the best camp hosts around! Thanks to Karen and Tony for taking good care of the sites and helping me with my tire! I appreciate you!
